  1. Yes yes and yes! I am all 11, most especially #1. I have the problem with blog comments as well. Each time I’m like, I’m going to keep it short this time… 5 long paragraphs later. Ugh. Then I have to delete half of it. I love this post, it’s awesome!

  2. Oh my! My friends are always working on me to “tight write” I am trying but I feel soooo much better now. I fit all 11 of these. Bless you for posting this, Laura. You’ve made one writer feel worthy of her call this morning. No more guilt, just more novels! :)

  4. Laughed out loud – and read faster as the list progressed. The only one I couldn’t ‘nod’ to was the coffee and tea expense! (Only because I’d never thought of it.)
Thank-you, thank-you for posting this. Had a little confidence shake recently and this put me right back on track. Once a writer, always a writer. And yes, I read everything I can get my hands on – a cereal box will do in a pinch!

  5. I don’t think 8 out of 11 is so bad! I got the majority. Problem is, I’m a big talker too, so no, I don’t have trouble expressing myself face to face or on the phone, so that knocked out 2. I also don’t obsess over tea or coffee, but I have googled other things I wanted to “deduct” so maybe I get a nine… Great post. Thanks for sharing!

  6. I fit all but #8…So nice to see I’m not alone on this! I’m called “Loquacious Lisa” by my friends when it comes to emails. I can’t help myself. Nor can I live without a book in my possession at all times! Thanks for the validation.

  7. Dear Laura,

Thank you very much for this post! All of the eleven points are accurate. I wrote a guestblog a couple of days ago where I have mentioned half of the points. The topic was “How I became a writer” … Keep up your inspiring work! Have a merry pre-Christmas time, greetings from Switzerland.

Got something to say? We'd love to hear it!
